William Andrew Witek, age 89, of Western Springs, IL, died December 6, 2004 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2004, at St. John of the Cross Church in Western Springs, IL. Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at Hallowell and James Funeral Home. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.

William Andrew Witek was born in Lublin, WI, on January 8, 1915, to Mr. and Mrs. John Albert Witek. He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Western Springs, IL. He spent most of his career with Carey Brick and Block Company in Chicago, IL.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years: Elizabeth (Rosiejka) Witek; four sons: Norman (Nancy) of Pisgah Forest, NC; Larry (Linda) of Rockton, IL; Kenny of Clarendon Hills, IL; and Wayne (Sandy) of Woodridge, IL; two daughters: Barbara (Jay) Smith of Roscoe, IL; and Laura (Karl) Olson of Park Ridge, Ol. He also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
