Many friends in this vicinity (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.) were grieved Wednesday afternoon when word was received that Miss Margaret Ray had passed away after a short illness at 10:40 that forenoon. Miss Ray was employed at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, and a few weeks ago suffered an attack of scarlet fever, from which she apparently recovered. Death was caused by flu and complications. The remains were brought to this village Wednesday night, and funeral will be held at St. Joseph’s Church this Saturday morning. Miss Ray was a member of the local R.N.A. camp.

The funeral of Miss Margaret Ray, whose sudden death was chronicled in the Enterprise last week, was held from St. Joseph’s Church, Fairview, last Saturday morning, Rev. R.F. Raschke officiating.

Miss Ray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ray, was born Nov. 28, 1897, and died May 16, 1928, aged 30 years, 6 months and 12 days. Surviving are her parents, seven sisters, Mrs. Anna Stewart, Battle Creek, Mich.; Mrs. Lucy Zook, Augusta; Mrs. Martha Neubauer, Fremont; Sister Marcella, Sheboygan; Sister Adolpha, Belleville, Ill.; Mrs. Emma Cook, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Helen Bauer in California; and four brothers: Frank of La Crosse, John, Will and Carl, all residing in this vicinity. She is also mourned by many other relatives and friends.

Relatives from away attending the burial were Mrs. Lucy Zook and family, Augusta; Frank Ray and family, La Crosse; Mrs. Thos. Neubauer, Fremont; Phillip Ray, Oshkosh; J.R. Zook, Minneapolis; Mrs. Glenn Hoch, Alma Center; Mrs. Frank Pierr, Eau Claire.
