Sires, I.A. (1858? - 3 MAR 1929)

I.A. Sires of Altoona, pioneer railroad conductor, known familiarly as "Skip" Sires, died at an Eau Claire hospital last Sunday morning, after two months illness. He was 70 years of age.

Burial services were held at Eau Claire Wednesday afternoon, and the remains were place in the vault in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Sires leaves his wife and two sons of Altoona; four brothers, David in Florida, John of Helena, Mont.,; Jerry of Buett, Mont.; Orlie, who now resides in Massachusetts, and one sister, Mrs. Matilda Murry, of this village (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.)

Mr. Sires was a member of the Masonic orders, and burial services were in accordance with the rites of that fraternity. He was a frequent visitor here and had numerous friends who mourn with the kin in his death.

This really helps with my Sires search!! I am seeking information on Alex Sires, son of William and Eliza, and brother to those mentioned. I will gladly share what I have.
