Sigel, Mary (1877 - 12 NOV 1935)

Mrs. Mary Sigel, age 58, former resident of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), died at the Rib Lake Clinic, Tuesday, at which institution she had been since Thursday of last week. She entered the clinic and on Saturday, underwent an operation for the removal of her right leg, just below the hip, and from that time on failed to rally to the aid of medical treatment.

Mrs. Sigel for the past year had been making her home with her sister at Park Falls, and prior to that had lived in Owen for about seven years. She, for a number of years, operated the Sweet Shop.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning from the Catholic Church at Medford, her former home, and burial will take place in the cemetery in that city.

She is survived by two sons, Arthur of Mellen and Walter of Eau Claire, and three daughters, Mrs. Lucine Schick of Marshfield, Dorothy of Rhinelander, and Mrs. William Mattson of this city.
