Drescher, Nina Elda (Marriage - 3 June 1939)

Miss Nina Elda Drescher, daughter of Mrs. Lydia Drescher, of the town of Grant, and Arthur E. Korth, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Korth of Lake Mills were united in marriage at the Home of the bride’s mother, Saturday, June 3, at 12 o’clock noon, Rev. E. P. Stone of the M. E. Church, Neillsville, performing the double-ring ceremony in the presence of 40 guests. The Lohengrin wedding march was played by Mrs. Carl Korth.

The bride wore a white Celanese floor-length dress and a finger-tip veil and carried an arm bouquet of calla lilies. Her bridesmaid, Louis Korth, a niece, wore peach Celanese, floor-length style, and carried sweet peas. The groom was attended by his brother, Harland, of Janesville. The bride’s mother wore a blue and white gown and the mother of the groom wore dark blue. The house decorations were amber and white. A reception was held following the ceremony.

The bride was graduated from Neillsville High School and the teacher’s training department and has taught for seven years in the rural schools of Clark County, where she gained the respect and confidence of her pupils, their parents and others, her home training on the farm fitting her well for the duties of the new home.

The groom is an ambitious young farmer. He takes his bride to the farm home of his father at Lake Mills, which he has rented. The couple left on a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park and the Black Hills, planning to be at home to their friends after June 19, Lake Mills, Wis.
