Reineking, Mada L. (25 MAY 1910)

The prettiest wedding ceremony solemnized in this vicinity in a long time was that which took place last night at six o’clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Reineking, when their daughter, Miss Mada Louise Reineking, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr. John Fred Vollrath.

The parlor where the ceremony was performed was most beautifully decorated with flowers and ferns and the blushing and happy bride made a beautiful picture as she came marching to her place beneath the marriage bell to the beautiful strain of Mendelssohn’s wedding march, played by the bride’s sister, Miss Hilda Reineking. The light blue silk Princes gown, trimmed with an abundance of cream lace, showed off to advantage a bride for whom any groom might well be proud.

The bride was attended by Miss Ida Vollrath, sister of the groom, and Miss Hilda Kippenhan, while the groom was accompanied by his brother, George Vollrath, and Otto Reineking, brother of the bride. The solemn, but beautiful and impressive ceremony was performed by the Rev. Otto Saewert.

After the ceremony a congratulatory march was played by Miss Hilda Reineking, when the relatives and friends passed by the happy couple expressing their congratulations and marching on out to the dining room where an elaborate wedding supper was in waiting.

Mr. and Mrs. Vollrath are both very popular and highly respected young people, have lived all their lives near this city and have made scores of friends who extend to them heartiest congratulations. The many beautiful presents received was a substantial reminder of the esteem in which they are held.

They will make their home on the farm which Mr. Vollrath purchased in Braun Settlement (Clark Co., Wis.) some two years ago, and where they will be at home to their many friends.

Those present from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fravert of Rib Lake, Mr. and Mrs. E. Schoettler of Loyal, Miss Olga Braun and Miss Lydia Fravert of St. Paul, Minn.
