Dahl, Harold and Norma (Herdrich) (16 Oct 1946 - 16 Oct 2006)

Harold and Norma Dahl of Loyal celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 8, 2006 during an open house for friends and relatives held at Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Loyal.

They were married Oct. 16, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, with the Rev. John C. Langholz officiating.

Original wedding attendants, ushers, etc. were Verland and Laura Dux, Margaret (Hendrich) Zimmerman, Robert Luchterhand, flower girl Veryl (Herdrich) Holmes and ring bearer Byrl Dahl. Serving as ushers were Harold and Bob Herdrich. Music was provided by Ellen (Henseler) Luchterhand, organist and Martha Dux, Soloist. All were present for the anniversary celebration.

Harold was born May 26, 1919, in the Town of Loyal, and is a graduate of Granton High School.

He worked 37 years for grassland Dairy in Greenwood as a licensed butter maker. After retirement from Grassland, he worked part time for 19 years at Fleet Farm in Marshfield.

The former Norma E. (Herdrich) was born March 7, 1926, in the village of Loyal, and is a Loyal High School graduate.

Following high school graduation in 1943, Norma started working for Grassland Dairy counting butter ration stamps and tokens. She worked full time for 50 years and continues to work part time at Grassland.

They are lifelong members of Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.

They have one son, Roger A. Dahl, and a daughter, Anna L. Bluem, and four grandchildren.
