Hatton, Evelyn (9 MAR 1940)

Attired in a navy blue crepe dress with accessories to match and carrying white carnations, Miss Evelyn Hatton, Town of Eaton (Clark Co., Wis.), was married on Saturday, March 9, 1940, to Craig Asplin, Town of Weston.

The Rev. G.W. Longenecker, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiated at the 10 o’clock ceremony performed in the parsonage at Neillsville, Wis.

Miss Hatton is the daughter of Mr.a nd Mrs. Clark Hatton and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Asplin.

Miss Bethel Asplin, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, wearing an Alice blue crepe dress. She carried yellow daffodils. Donald Hatton, brother of the bride, was best man.

Approximately 25 immediate relatives and friends were served a dinner at the home of the bride’s parents.

The groom is employed at the Western Condensing plant at Owen, where they will make their home.
