Danielson, David A & Maria (25 FEB 1943)

Mr. and Mrs. David A. Danielson, who have resided in the Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) community since 1906, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a dinner and reception for over 100 guests at their farm home Thursday, Feb. 25, 1943.

Large bouquets of golden snapdragons were used for decorations.

During the afternoon short talks were given by the Rev. and Mrs. M.K. Aaberg of Greenwood, and songs were sung by the group. Mr. and Mrs. Danielson received a purse of money from the guests as a token of good will and a number of cards expressing good wishes and congratulations.

Mr. Danielson, who was born in Farsond, Norway, Dec. 9, 1867, married Maria Person, born in Toboda, Sweden, Sept. 19, 1868, in Chicago, Feb 25, 1893, where they lived until 1906 when they came to Greenwood.

Both are members of the Trondhjem Lutheran Church and Mr. Danielson, who is a carpenter and a farmer, has served as a school board director.

The Danielson have three sons and one daughter: Peder of Marengo, Ill., David of Loyal, Arendt, at home, and Mrs. Chris (Hanna) Stensvold, Clear Lake, and 10 grandchildren.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Peder Danielson and family, and Mr. and Mrs. John Mattingly, who were recently married, all of Marengo, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Stensvold and daughter, Mary Jane, and son, Darlo, of Clear Lake.
