Toburen, Dolores E. (3 JUL 1943)
Mr. and Mrs. John Goger of Chicago, who were married July 3, 1943, were guests of honor at a post-nuptial shower held Friday evening at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Toburen, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). A purse was presented to the couple by the guests and lunch and refreshments were served.
The bride, who is the former Miss Dolores E. Toburen, was attired in a gown of pale pink chiffon over satin, princess style, for her wedding. Her blusher was caught to a coronet of baby gardenias and she wore a corsage of white roses. Her attendant at the double ring ceremony performed in the Evangelical Reformed Church in Chicago by the Rev. O.J. Brauer, was Miss Margaret Perpich, Chicago. She wore a light orchid frock and a corsage of tea roses. Delmar Toburen, Greenwood, brother of the bride, was best man.
Following the nuptial ceremony a 6 o’clock dinner was served and a reception was held at the Vine Gardens in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Goger returned to their home in Chicago at 422 Melrose St., Saturday, after visiting since Monday at the home of the bride’s parents. Mr. Goger is employed by the Saratoga Meat Products Co., Chicago, and his bride has worked in that city for the past five years.
