Johnson, Verna (Marriage - 20 Jan. 1940)

Miss Verna Johnson of Minneapolis and Arnold Schultz of Neillsville were united in marriage at the Congregational Church, Wahpeton, N. D., Saturday, January 20, the Rev. Hartman officiating.

The bride wore a lovely navy crepe afternoon dress and an iris corsage. Her bridesmaid, Mary Frances Lieber, of Minneapolis, wore a black wool suit, her corsage bing made up of yellow roses. Harding Johnson of Wahpeton, a brother of the bride, was best man.

After the ceremony, the couple and their immediate relatives had dinner at the Wilken Hotel, Breckenridge, Minn.

The bride is a graduate of Moorehead, Minn., State Teachers college, majoring in primary work. She is a member of the Beta Chi sorority and of Kappa Pi Primary Professional society. She taught for a short time and then attended the Minnesota School of Business. For some time she had been engaged in office work in Minneapolis.

The groom, who is employed by Mrs. Ella Lowe, attended the State school of Science at Wahpeton, and the University of Minnesota, being graduated from the latter institution. He is a member of the Pi Sigma Eta fraternity.

Mr. Schultz came to Neillsville several months ago. He is skillful in his profession, a young man of fine presence and makes friends readily. Equally talented and pleasing is his bride, who accompanied him to Neillsville Sunday. They have taken an apartment over the Neillsville bakery.
