Braun, Emelia (24 NOV 1859 - 31 JAN 1938)

Mrs. William Braun, 78, died at 7 a.m. today at her home 9 miles northwest of here (Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis.), as a result of complications attendant upon old age. She arose at 5 o’clock this morning and later returned to bed, where her body was found at 7 o’clock. She had been an asthmas sufferer for a number of years.

Funeral arrangements have not been definitely made, pending word from relatives, but it is expected that rites will be conducted at the Braun Settlement Reformed Church on Friday, with the Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer officiating, and burial in Forest Hill Cemetery there.

Mrs. Braun came to Greenwood with her husband shortly after their marriage at Sheboygan 57 years ago.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Edward, Greenwood, and three daughters, Mrs. William (Selma) Alperstett, Greenwood, Mrs. Theodore (Lydia) Knifsky, Chicago, and Mrs. W.N. (Setonia) Mitchell, Chicago. Another daughter, Mrs. George Vollrath, preceded here in death. There are 10 grandchildren.
