Marie Grassl was born Sept. 3, 1914, in the town of Auburndale, Wood County, to Mike and Barbra (nee Schullhauser) Grassl. She married Roland Brehm on Oct. 7, 1935, in Auburndale. He died in 1991. Before her marriage she worked in Marshfield and Evanston, Ill. She then became a farm wife for 42 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Regina’s Circle. She was as avid reader and greatly enjoyed time spent with her family. She also enjoyed birds, trees, gardening and flowers. We cherish her memory by appreciating God’s gift of nature.

Preceding her in death were her parents: Her husband Roland; an infant daughter, Barbara; two brothers, Richard Grassl and Edward Grassl; and two sisters, Odelia Simon and Sister Gladys Anne Grassl.

Many thanks to all the staff and friends at Continental Manor for their wonderful care.
