Grace Methodist Church, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart, Greenwood, and Esper Carl Jepsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Jepsen, Rib Lake. The Rev. Lee Holmes performed the ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, June 3, 1947, at 3 p.m.

Bouquets of apple blossoms, lilacs, and tulips adorned the altar. Robert T. Stewart, brother of the bride, played the processional and recessional. Mary Loris and Joyce Elaine Stewart, cousins of the bride, played and sang "Because" and "Through the Years."

The bride was dressed in a white satin gown with a long train and lace and pearl orange blossom trimming. The headdress was made up of pearl orange blossoms and the fingertip veil had lace edging. Her bouquet was of a colonial fashion, with roses, carnations, and lilies, and satin ribbon streamers with pink rosebuds. She also wore pearls, a gift of the groom.

Miss Marie Jepsen, sister of the groom, Rib Lake, was maid of honor. She wore an orchid formal with matching blusher veil, and carried a colonial bouquet of pink and white carnations.

Mrs. Arthur Jepsen, cousin of the bride, Rib Lake, wore yellow. Mary Lou Stewart, sister of the bride, junior bridesmaid, wore a blue formal with matching headdress and Helen Jeanette Stewart, sister of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a white formal with a matching headdress. They carried colonial bouquets of sweet peas. The bridesmaids and flower girls wore pearl necklaces, gifts of the bride.

Keith Stewart, brother of the bride, acted as best man. Other attendants were Art Jepsen, brother of the groom, Rib Lake, and Jackie Osterhuas, cousin of the bride, junior groomsman. Lanny Stewart, cousin of the bride, Withee, was ring bearer.

One hundred relatives and friends were entertained at a 5 o’clock dinner at the decorated church parlor.

A reception was held after the dinner and also a dance at the Merry Ol’ Gardens.

The bride and groom will return from Black Hills, S.D., on June 16, after which they will reside at Rib Lake.

The bride was graduated from Miller High School in 1945, and has been employed in the Farmer’s Store for one year. The groom was discharged from the Army in June 1946.

Thompson and Joann, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Jepsen and Marie, Chris Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jepsen, all of Rib Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stewart and daughter, Ramona, and son Lanny, Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Thompson Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Thompson Sr., Abbotsford; Lloyd Thompson, Miss Jane Wiley, Tomah; Mr. and Mrs. George Osterhaus and son, Jackie, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Procknow, and daughter, Judy, and son, Jimmy, Plainfield; Len Krucker, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. George Osterhaus Jr., Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Ole Hagen, Wittenberg; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lindner and daughter, Rita, Loyal; and Mrs. Jack Dyrness and daughter, Elaine, High Bridge; Lawrence Dyrness and Glenn Stewart, Marshfield; and Arnie Bundgard, Withee.
