Busch, Beatrice R. (13 SEP 1947)

After Sept. 22 young Mr. and Mrs. Arle Jesse Afford, who are honeymooning in northern Wisconsin, will make their home at the Einfeldt Apartments, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).

Mrs. Afford is the former Miss Beatrice Rose Busch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Busch, Greenwood. Mr. Afford’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Afford, Withee. The couple were united in marriage Sept. 13, 1947 at Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Greenwood, by the Rev. B.B. Fresenborg.

Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Busch, Greenwood, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, were matron of honor and best man. Miss Aurelia Wetzel, Greenwood, as bridesmaid, and the groom’s cousin, Bruce Thierl, Plum City, as groomsman, completed the bridal party.

The bride wore a faille entrained gown fashioned with a peplum. Her finger-tip veil, lace trimmed, fell from a seed pearl headdress. She carried a bouquet of white mums and roses.

The maid of honor wore an aqua colored marquisette formal and aqua colored roses in her hair. The bridesmaid’s dress was of yellow marquisette trimmed with white daisies and she wore yellow roses in her hair. The attendants carried bouquets of white and yellow mums, respectively.

Following the ceremony, dinner was served to 82 relatives and friends in the basement of the church. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and that evening a wedding dance was held at Merry Ol’ Gardens.

The bride, a graduate of the Greenwood High School, is employed at the Farmer’s Store. The groom is employed by the John Wuethrich Creamery Co.
