Kitzhaber, Margaret G. (1 JUN 1949)

Miss Margaret Grace Kitzhaber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Kitzhaber, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Wallace Norbert Brey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brey, also of Greenwood, were married June 1, 1949.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, was the scene of the 9 a.m. Nuptial High Mass which was celebrated by the Rev. J.J. Novak.

Scallops at the yoke, hip line and around the entrained skirt trimmed the bride’s white satin gown. A beaded headdress held her fingertip veil and she carried a French bouquet of white carnations and red roses. Her father gave her in marriage.

Miss Jo Ann Kitzhaber was her sister’s maid of honor in a turquoise faille gown. The fitted bodice was styled with a sheer beaded trimmed yoke and cap sleeves. Her colonial bouquet was of daisies, white mums, and yellow carnations.

Miss Bernice Brey, sister of the groom was bridesmaid in a rose gown fashioned similarly to that of the maid of honor, and she carried a similar bouquet.

Danny Brey was best man for his brother, and the groom’s other attendant was Bernard Kitzhaber, brother of the bride.

Dinner and supper were served to over 100 at the home of the bride’s parents. A wedding dance was held at the Merry Ol’ Garden pavilion.

The bride attended Greenwood High School and the groom was graduated from Marshfield High School. He attended River Falls State Teachers College for two years and is now engaged in farming near Greenwood, where the couple will live. Mrs. Brey is employed at the Greenwood Co-op.
