Lloyd Wagner

Lloyd Wagner, 83, Arpin, died at 12:55 a.m. Sunday December 25, 2006 at his home.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2006, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Arpin, with Pastor Camacho presiding. Music will be provided by organist Rosie Schroeder. Burial will be at Colby Cemetery, Colby.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Wagner, Curtiss and Logan Schjoneman, Sam and Jimmy Skenandore and Joey Ninham.

Visitation will be held at Buchanan Funeral Home in Pittsville from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 27.

Lloyd was born in Manfred, ND, on October 27, 1923 to the late Joe and Dora (Freund) Wagner.

He attended Manfred County Schools in ND.

Lloyd moved to Milwaukee where he worked for AO Smith for several years, then moved back to North Dakota and took up farming.

He married Ruth Joyce Skenandore on March 13, 1954. They farmed in Chalsie ND for two years then bought their own farm in McClusky, ND. In 1967 he sold their farm and moved to Colby where he purchased Lynn Brother’s Dairy Farms. In 1978, Lloyd and Ruth semi-retired.

He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Arpin. Lloyd continued to consult for the Seventh-Day Adventist School’s University farming and agriculture department.

Lloyd and Ruth had seven children, Bernard (deceased), Scott and Val (Wagner) Schjoneman, Colby, Monty and Gloria Wagner, Racine, Dean and Gail (Wagner) Wilde, Colby, Vern and Gwen Wagner, HI, Marty and Janice (Wagner) Schjoneman, Colby, Todd and Diane (Wagner) Schmutzler, Riplinger; eleven grandchildren, Erica (Ewert) Todahl; Cody, Curtis and Logan Schjoneman; Jordan Wagner; Justin and Bridgit Wagner; Trevor Wilde; Sawyer and Mason Schmutzler and Samantha Rea Schreiner; and four great grandchildren, Gabriel Todahl, mason and Cooper Kleinsmith and Amaya Wagner.

He is predeceased by one son, Bernard; his mother and father; three brothers and two sisters.
