Liebzeit, Albert E. (10 MAR 1885 - 24 JAN 1946)

Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Albert E. Liebzeit, 60, a farmer and insurance man at Greenwood, died at 6:30 a.m. yesterday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he was a patient since Dec. 31. He had been in poor health the past five years due to a heart ailment.

The body will lie in state at the Schiller Funeral Home until Saturday noon, when it will be taken to the Liebzeit home. Funeral services will be held there Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, followed by a 2 o’clock service at the West Side Reformed Church. The Rev. J.C. Klingeberger will officiate at the rites, and burial will be made in Forest Hill Cemetery, Braun Settlement.

Albert Edward Liebzeit was born in the Town of Herman, Sheboygan Co., March 10, 1885, attended public school in Millersville, and took a short course at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

He was married to Clara Braun May 7, 1910, at Salem Church, Braun Settlement. They lived at Sheboygan for a short time and 33 years ago came to Greenwood to a farm, 6 miles northwest of the city, where they lived since.

In 1930 he organized the Warner Mutual Fire Insurance Co., and was its director and treasurer at the time of his death. He was an agent for the Home Mutual and Home Mutual Casualty Company.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Esther) Ziegler, Willard, and Mrs. Elmer (Gertrude) Lehrman, Greenwood; four sons, Norman, Arvin, Clarence, and Harry Liebzeit, all of Greenwood; six grandchildren, one brother, Henry Liebzeit, Appleton; and two sisters, Mrs. William (Clara) Pieper, Sheboygan, and Mrs. William (Elsie) Imig, Sheboygan Falls. Another sister, Mrs. Robert (Alma) Hammerschmidt, Kiel, is dead.
