Blecha, Frank (7 APR 1878 - 26 DEC 1918)

The entire community was saddened last Thursday when the sad news came that Frank Blecha of the town of Eaton (Clark Co., Wis.) had passed away in death. Mr. Blecha was taken sick with influenza Dec. 11th, which developed into pneumonia causing his death Dec. 26th, 1918.

Mr. Blecha was born April 7th, 1878 on the farm that he lived on at the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Miss Bertha Vollrath, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Vollrath, on Oct. 14, 1908. Three children were born to this union, they being Elmira, Lee and Lynn, the latter two being twins.

He was a man of sterling worth known by everyone in this vicinity as an honest and upright neighbor and friends. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and is a great loss to his family.

Mr. Blecha held several town offices during his career, being assessor of the town of Eaton at the time of his death. He was also manager, director and secretary of the Black River Telephone Co., and a director of the Farmers and Merchants Bank of this city.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and three children, his father, two sisters and one brother, besides many other relatives and intimate friends.

Funeral services were held from the home last Sunday afternoon with interment in the Greenwood Cemetery, Rev. James Moats officiating.

Those who attended the funeral from away were, Mr. and Mrs. Frank White of Montana and Mr. Joseph Blecha of West Bend, Wis.

The bereaved family has the sympathy of all in this their hour of bereavement.
