Hansen, Bertha (13 SEP 1936)

A very pretty autumn wedding was solemnized at the Danish Lutheran Church at Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) on Sunday afternoon when Miss Bertha Hansen of Withee became the bride of Roy Young of Minneapolis. The ceremony took place at three o’clock and was performed by Rev. Mikkelsen.

The bride, a daughter of Mrs. Marie Hansen of Withee, wore a rust colored gown of ribbed satin designed in tunic style. She wore a shoulder corsage. Miss Sylvia Hansen, sister of the bride, served as bridesmaid. She was gowned in green silk crepe of tunic style. Her corsage was similar to that of the bride.

Irving young, Minneapolis, attended his brother as best man.

A reception for immediate relatives and friends was held after the ceremony at the home of the bride’s uncle and Aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Andreason. Later supper was served to 40 guests at the Andreason home, which was decorated for the occasion with large bouquets of fall flowers.

Mr. and Mrs. Young left on a week’s wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. After Sept. 20th they will be at home to their friends at 3538 Third Avenue South, Minneapolis. The groom is an employee of the Purity Bakery in Minneapolis.
