Atkin, Adaline (6 OCT 1936)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the Lutheran Parsonage at Nekoosa on Tuesday morning of last week, at 11 o’clock when Miss Adaline Atkin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Atkin of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Fred C. Gaupp, son of Mrs. Emily Gaupp of Nekoosa. Rev. Kersten performed the ceremony.

The bride wore an ankle length gown of pottery blue taffeta, with puffed sleeves, and a white hat with veil and white accessories. She carried a bouquet of pink flowers with ferns. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Russell Brooks of Madison, wore a wine red gown with black accessories and carried a bouquet of pink flowers with ferns. The groom’s attendant was Harold Atkinson of Nekoosa.

A wedding dinner was served 23 guests at the home of the groom’s parents. The table decorations consisted of a large wedding cake which served as a center piece.

Mr. and Mrs. Gaupp will make their home with Mr. Gaupp’s mother at Nekoosa, where he is employed by the Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Mill.

Those from out of town who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Joseph of Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. William Atkins of Withee; and Mrs. Russell J. Brooks of Madison. Others in attendance, were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kangas and family, Gus Belgert and daughter, Dorothy, and Alfred Pischke, all of Nekoosa.
