Sires, William (1 March 1824 - 4 Dec. 1891)

DIED– William Sires, at his home in this place, Dec. 4, 1891. The deceased was born in Jackson County, Indiana, March 1st, 1824, at which place he resided until 1849, and then came to Wisconsin. He was married to Miss Eliza Ryan, June 18th, 1846, who still survives him. He has been a resident of Humbird and vicinity for 42 years. He was the father of nine boys and three girls, four of whom have passed on before. After two years of intense suffering, which was borne very patiently though still anxious to be at rest, he said, in the triumph of living faith, "Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last day be like His." He was a man with an exceptionally kind and generous nature, a kind husband and father, who will be greatly missed. The many friends sympathize with the bereaved wife and family in this hour of their sad bereavement. The funeral has held at the M. E. Church, Sunday, Dec. 6th, at 2 p.m., Rev. Briggs officiating, and was largely attended.

CARD OF THANKS.–Through the columns of The Leader we wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the neighbors and friends who so kindly helped us during the sickness and death of our husband and father.

MRS. WM. SIRES AND CHILDREN.
