Arlene D. Lenz

Arlene D. Lenz, 63, of the Town of Hull, Marathon County, died peacefully at her home with her family by her side, under the loving care of Ministry Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Peace Lutheran Church, Edgar. The Reverend Jeff Tarrus will preside. Sarah Lemmer will provide music for congregational hymns. Interment of ashes will be in the church cemetery. A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow the services. Friends may call from 10-11:00 a.m. at the church on Thursday.

Arlene was born December 19, 1943, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, the daughter of Earl and Mary (Whaley) Bush. She attended Florence County schools.

She and Gerald L. Lenz were united in holy marriage on January 9, 1965, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Wein.

Arlene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to being a homemaker, she enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, reading and gardening. She especially cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

Arlene is lovingly survived by her husband, Gerald Lenz, Colby; children, Ronald Lenz, Colby, Deborah Lenz, Abbotsford, Joan (Joseph) Berg, Stetsonville, John (Cynthia) Lenz, Dorchester and Jill Lenz, Colby; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Lauren and Madyson; and two sisters, Mildred (Joseph) Wiegan, Rib Mountain and Florence Glick of Indiana.

Hansen Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
