Lindow, Arlene (Marriage - 18 May 1941)

At the Evangelical parsonage at Chili on Sunday, May 18, the Rev. Philip Koenecke performed a double-ring ceremony which united in marriage Miss Arlene Lindow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lindow, Chili, and Otto Hasz, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Hasz of Granton. The ceremony took place at 2 p.m.

Gowned in a light blue street-length dress of Miami cloth, the bride wore a head-band of lilies of the valley. She carried a bouquet of pink and white tulips and lilies of the valley. Her attendants, Ethelyn Lindow and Edna Hasz, sisters of the bride and groom respectively, wore street-length dresses of rose crepe. Their corsages were made up of pink and white tulips. Paul Grass of Granton was best man.

A five-o’clock dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents for 30 guests. The home decorative scheme was in blue and white.

Both the bride and the groom were graduated from the Granton high school with the class of 1936. The groom is employed on his father’s farm.

Following is the list of out of town guests: Miss Ann Stenritzky and Mrs. August Arndt, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Walter King and sons, Coloma; Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Hillman and daughter Betty of Milwaukee; Rev. and Mrs. Philip Koeneke and Wanda Rollo, Chili; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hasz and family, Miss Emma Hasz, Mrs. Ferdinand Schilling, Alvina Foemmel, Granton; Mrs. Bertha Schilling of Chili, and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Nickel, Granton.
