Beil, Esther Ruth (Marriage - 6 June 1941)

Garden flowers furnished the fragrant setting for the wedding of Miss Esther Ruth Beil, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Beil of Chili, to Gerald W. Dankemyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Dankemyer, also of Chili at the Christ Lutheran Church in that village. The Rev. A. H. Lausch performed the single ring ceremony at 4 o’clock Friday afternoon, June 6. Mrs. Harold Montage, sister of the bride presided at the organ.

Serving as maid of honor was the groom’s sister, Miss Natalie Dankemyer, who was gowned in blue lace over pearl taffeta and a peach shoulder veil. She carried a bouquet of roses, carnations and baby’s breath. Misses Hazel Beil, sister of the bride, and Ruth Dankemyer, sister of the groom, served as bridesmaids. Miss Beil chose yellow organdy with lace inserts and wore yellow roses in her hair. Miss Dankemyer’s gown was fashioned of pink marquisette with blue velvet bow trim,. And she wore pink roses in her hair. Both attendants carried colonial bouquets of sweet peas. Rosebuds and baby’s breath.

The bride’s mother wore blue with white accessories and the groom’s mother chose green with black accessories. Both wore shoulder corsages.

Arwin Beil attended the groom as best man, Lyle Doehr and Everett Loes were groomsmen.

About 35 guests attended a 6:30 o’clock dinner at the home of the bride’s parents, which was decorated in colors matching the gowns, of the bridal party. Two large white wedding bells, which were given at the wedding of the groom’s aunt, Mrs. Loren Hales, 22 years ago, were suspended from the ceiling, and a large wedding cake centered the table. Misses Marie and Evelyn Hales, Granton, ?? of the groom waited on table.

Mr. Dankemyer was graduated from the Marshfield High School in 1929 and is employed at the {*rest cut off.}
