Muscheid, Carrie (11 Feb 1869 - 15 July 1941)

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Margaret Muscheid were held at Johnson Creek July 18 where the body was laid to rest beside her husband, who preceded her in death in 1934. Mrs. Muscheid passed away July 15, 1941, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Peters after an illness of several months duration.

Mrs. Muscheid was born Feb. 11, 1869, to William and Martha Peters at Johnson Creek, which remained her home until she was married to Charles Muscheid April 27, 1890.

After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Muscheid began housekeeping at Watertown, later removing to Resseville.

Mr. and Mrs. Peters and their son, Robert, accopanie3d the body to Johnson Creek, Thursday where it lay in state at the funeral, hour following the day. Rev. William Petherick had charge of the rites. The pastor chose fro his subject of Acts, likening the life and character of Mrs. Muscheid of that of the good woman. Dorcas, an appropriate subject indeed, for a life so replace with love and kindness. Since early childhood she had been a faithful worker in her church. In her home life and ? her friends she was ideally loyal, a superb woman at the highest type. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Neillsville, Wis.

Surviving are the three children William Muscheid, San Francisco, Cal.; A. C. Muscheid, Milwaukee, and Mrs. D. E. Peters, Neillsville, four grandchildren; Robert Peters and William; Phillip and Marilyn Muscheid of San Francisco and a sister, Mrs. William Schneider, Johnson Creek.

Mrs. Peters’ brother, A. C. Muscheid and wife of Milwaukee came up Tuesday evening to be with the Peter’s family and to accompany them to Johnson Creek.
