Velma M. Gotter

LOYAL -- Velma May Gotter, 73, of Loyal, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, in the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Burial will be in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Cuddie Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

She was born May 14, 1933, in the town of Beaver to Floyd and Margaret (Zuege) Gardner. She married Elmer Gotter on Dec. 8, 1951, at Trinity Lutheran Church. They farmed north of Loyal. They sold the farm and moved to Loyal in 1990.

Velma then worked at Figi's for two years and later at Weinbrenner Shoe Company for three years. She retired in 1995.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer Gotter of Loyal; five children, Bonnie (Vern) Schreindl, Marshfield, Eugene Gotter, Riplinger, Dean (Beth) Gotter, Spencer, Kevin Gotter, Marshfield, and Cheryl (Mike) Timmler, Loyal; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
