Peters, Elizabeth (30 OCT 1884 - 27 DEC 1930)

Mrs. Elizabeth (Amalia) Peters, who has been at Memorial Hospital at Wausau and underwent an operation, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27, 1930, just a few days following the operation. Mrs. Peters is the wife of Wm. Peters, who lives on the old Wm. Nelson farm in the town of Dear Creek, and is the mother of Miss Mary Peters who is operating the Block Hotel in partnership with Roman Wuest.

Mrs. Peters was born in Poland on Oct. 30, 1884, married Wm. Peters there in 1902, and nine years later came to the United States and settled in the city of Chicago. The family moved to the town of Dear Creek about a year ago, coming from a farm in the vicinity of Athens and previous to that time they lived in South Dakota.

Funeral services were held from the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church here Wednesday afternoon with Rev. J. Brandt officiating and Adolph Kreie, Alfred Anderson, Andrew Hartmann, Henry Botz, Otto Lau and Julius Weinke as pallbearers. Interment was made in the Memorial (South) Cemetery. The funeral was under the charge of Undertaker Fuchsgruber.

Besides the husband, six children, Henry, Mary, William, Olga, Elizabeth and Mike, and one grandchild, Adeline, daughter of Henry, are left to mourn the loss of this beloved wife and mother. We join with the many friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved ones.
