Hein, Mr./Mrs. Will (30th Anniv. - 1937)

Wed Thirty Years.

Remember one October morning, the second it was, thirty years ago, when Will Hein and Miss Kitty Phillips slipped away quietly from their friends in the hours of dawn, with old dobbin and the shay to Merrillan Junction, where Rev. B. C. Sills united them in the holy bonds of matrimony, and saw them off on the Green Bay Train to La Crosse.

Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Hein celebrated their thirtieth anniversary of that happy event. Relatives from Viroqua, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Crume, and Howard Crume, wife and son, joined with the relatives here, Mrs. S. Phillips, Mrs. Cora Stanley, and Mrs. Anna Brandstedter, in the party. The wedding party part of the event was a surprised to the Heins. Mr. Hein secured a fine picture of the group at his home. And Saturday noon, in the home hour program, a special number, "In the Rain," was broadcast by WEAU of Eau Claire in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Hein’s anniversary.
