Zimmerman, Alice (Marriage - 31 Dec. 1937)

Miss Alice Zimmerman, daughter of Mrs. Edith Zimmerman, and Mr. John E. Aebersold, son of Mrs. Marie Aebersold were united in marriage at 4 ?, Friday afternoon Dec. 31st., at the home of the bride’s ? in the presence of the immediate families, and a few close friends. Mrs. V. D. Weidler played the well known Lohengrin wedding march as the young couple and their attendants took their place for the Rev. V. D. Weidler to performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride was attired in a tail ored suit of dark brown chevron weave flannel and a blouse of tangerine crepe. She wore a corsage of yellow tea rose buds and fern. Mrs. Herman Gerber, sister of the groom, was her bride’s maid. She wore a black crepe suit, accentuated with white, and a corsage of pink rose buds and ferns. The groom wore a dark brown suit. He was attended by Mr. Richard Zimmerman, brother of the bride, who wore a suit of dark blue. Both groom and best man wore red carnations.

Following the ceremony, a six o’clock wedding dinner was served which had been tastily prepared by the bride’s mother, and aunt, Mrs. Fred Theiler.

Both groom and bride attended school here, and bride being a member of the class of 1930 and later attending the Sacred Heart School of nursing in Eau Claire. For the past seven years the groom has been in the southern part of the state, and is now located at Darlington, where he operates a cheese factory, making foreign types of cheese.
