Kleiler, Mildred (8 AUG 1931)

A beautiful wedding took place last Saturday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F.A. Kleiler, 3543 N. Cramer St., Milwaukee, when their daughter, Miss Mildred, was united in marriage with John Buehrens of Clintonville. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Herbert J. Root, Superintendent of the Methodist Episcopal churches of Milwaukee County, at an altar banked with palms and ferns, pink gladiolas and blue larkspur. White candles in candelabras on each side were the only light. Before the ceremony several beautiful piano solos were played by Max Steig of Clintonville.

The bride was attired in a lovely blue chiffon gown with slipper and hat tot match and carried an arm bouquet of white roses and pink larkspur. The bridesmaid, Miss Winifred Cooper of Colfax, was gowned in pink georgette with slipper and hat to match, and carried an arm bouquet of pink butterfly roses and blue larkspur. The groom and his attendant, Herbert Buehrens of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.), wore dark blue suits.

After the ceremony the bridal party and guests left for the Shorecrest Hotel where a bounteous wedding dinner was served. The happy couple left for a three week’s honeymoon tour to the Black Hills and Yellowstone National Park. They will be at home to their many friends at Clintonville after the first of September.

John is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Buehrens of this village, and is employed in the bank at Clintonville. Needless to say, John is a fine fellow, very well liked by all who know him and we are certain that his choice is a perfect one. We join all the friends in wishing the new Mr. and Mrs. Buehrens much happiness and prosperity in their journey through life together.

Those who attended the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. John Buehrens and son, Herbert of Dorchester, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Buehrens of Sturgeon Bay, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Buehrens of Port Washington, Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Hanna and son, Mark, of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. F.A. Kleiler and son, Andrew, Mr. and Mrs. John Allen and daughter, Marjorie, of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Hammond and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jarehow, of Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Max Steig of Clintonville.
