Geiger, Elsie M. (26 AUG 1931)

Last Wednesday, a week ago, a beautiful wedding was solemnized at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Louis Catholic Church, when Miss Elsie Mary Geiger was united in marriage to Wm. J. Pupp of Abbotsford, Wis. The ceremony was read by Rev. Paul Pitzenberger.

The bride was tastily gowned in a white satin dress with a flowered trailing veil and carried a shower bouquet of roses and sweet peas. The maid of honor, Miss Margaret Pupp, wore a pale blue georgette and the bridesmaid, Miss Helen Geiger, was attired in a pastel rose georgette. Both wore rhinestone bandeaus and carried arm bouquets of roses and sweet peas. The groom and his attendants, George Pupp and Joseph Geiger, wore the conventional dark suits.

Shortly after the ceremony a sumptuous wedding dinner was served to about sixty guests, including immediate relatives and a few fiends. In the afternoon the bridal party drove to Marshfield and had wedding pictures taken. Another banquet was served at 6. In the evening a free wedding dance was given at Midway, with a large crowd in attendance. The home was tastily decorated in a color scheme to match the girl’s dresses.

The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Geiger, is well known to our readers and the groom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pupp, sr., of Abbotsford, is also known to most of us, and the Clarion joins their many friends in wishing the happy couple many years of joy and prosperity in their journey through life together. As yet the newlywed have not decided where they shall settle and are now at the farm home of Mr. Pupp’s parents until they find a suitable farm to operate.

Those present for the ceremony and celebration were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pupp and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Grinker, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pupp and family, and Joe Geiger, all of Abbotsford, George, John, Mary and Margaret Kroening of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wolf, Lucy Geiger, Marie Ley, of Marshfield, Helen Geiger of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Jose Doessl, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stoiber, Mr. and Mrs. John Stoiber, Sr., all of Dorchester, Wis.
