Zerbel, Alma (Marriage - 28 Jan. 1939)

The wedding of Miss Alma Zerbel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Zerbel, and Mr. Laverne Kaufman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kaufman, was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Fairview, at 9:30 Saturday morning, Jan. 28th, the Rev. J. J. Sheridan officiating.

The bride was prettily attired in a wedding gown of rose colored silk, and her bridesmaid, Miss Arelia Kaufman’s gown was of dark blue silk, each having accessories to match. The groom and his attendant, Mr. Joseph Pfleiger, Jr., each wore dark blue suits. Flowers were gardenias.

After the impressive ceremony, the wedding party returned to the home of the bride’s parents, where an excellent wedding dinner, served by the bride’s mother, was partaken. In the evening a dancing party was given at the town oh all in their honor. The bride was the recipient of many dainty and useful wedding gifts from relatives and friends.

At present, Mr. Kaufman and his bride will make their home with his parents on the farm west of town, expecting to start housekeeping in the spring in one of the nearby homes.

All friends of the newly weds joins in wishing them a happy and prosperous journey through life together.
