Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) friends will be saddened to hear of the death of Anton Veit, who passed away at his home in Marshfield last Thursday noon, Feb. 26, 1932. Death was due to dropsy from which he had suffered for years and confined him to his bed the last two months.

Anton Veit was born April 1st, 1858, at ?enton, Wis., and passed away at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 24 days. In 1887 he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth ?? of Marshfield, and the next 22 years of his life were spent there. In 1909 the Veits moved to Dorchester where they resided for 13 years. In 1924 they returned to Marshfield where they have since made their home.

Nine children were born to this union, two of whom preceded the father in death; Ana, who died in infancy, and Sister M. Elizabeth, who died in a convent.

Mr. Veit leaves his wife and seven children to mourn his departure: Sister Athanasia, Sis M. Dorni?? And Sister M. Joseph, of St. ? Convent of La Crosse; Mrs. F. ?nn, Marshfield, Mrs. John Pin??, Milwaukee, and Al Veit, Stevens Point.

Two sisters and a brother, Margaret Harks and Mrs. Phil ??welling, Milwaukee, and George Veit, Rib Lake, also mourn his loss.

Rosary was said at the home Sunday evening and funeral services conducted Monday morning at ? o’clock at St. John’s Catholic Church, Father A.J. Dorrenbach officiating. Interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery at Marshfield.

A host of friends and neighbors join the Clarion in offering sincerest sympathy to the mourning ones in this dark hour.
