Oehler, Ruby (24 AUG 1932)

A very quiet wedding took place Wednesday afternoon when Miss Ruby Oehler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Oehler, was united in marriage to Mr. Elmo Barker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Barker. Rev. L. Thiel officiated at the ceremony which took place at the Evangelical Salem Parsonage.

The bride was tastily attired in a brown tailored dress with brown hat, slippers and hose to match. Her attendants were her sisters, Mrs. Ed Tischendorf, who wore a light brown dress and Miss Alta Oehler, who was dressed in blue. The groom wore a light suit and his attendants, Ed and Frank Tischendorf wore dark suits.

The bridal party left for Wausau immediately after the ceremony where wedding pictures were taken.

A 7:30 wedding dinner and reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents with a large number of friends and relatives in attendance. In the evening a free wedding dance was given at the Dorchester Opera House.

Both of the young folks are well and favorably known by many people here and they join us in wishing them many years of happiness and prosperity. The happy couple will make their home with the groom’s parents for the present.
