Gaston, Ruth (21 Oct. 1898 - 5 July 1934)

Ruth Kobaski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kobaskie, was born in the town of Cleveland, Oct. 21, 1898, and died suddenly at Fairchild, July 5, 1934, at the age of 35 years, 8 months and 14 days. She was about her home duties as usual and passed away very suddenly while on a short call to a neighbor.

She was the oldest of a family of seven children and spent her happy girlhood days on the farm where she was born. On August 20, 1918, she was married to Mr. William Gaston, and has lived in Fairchild till her death.

She was a loving wife, sister, daughter, and neighbor, and gave generously of herself to promote the welfare of those she loved.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death her husband, her mother, Mrs. Alvina Kobaski, four brothers, Andrew, Sylvester, Tony and Victor, at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Regina Bush, of Neillsville, and Mrs. Bergetta Lesiecki, of Eleva; and two nieces, besides a host of friends. Her father preceded her in death three years ago, July 4, 1931. She will be sadly missed by her loved ones.

The funeral was held Saturday, July 7, at 2:00 p.m., at the Rev. Chas. Brown officiating. Interment was in Mentor Cemetery.
