Hughes, Mary (Marriage - 23 June 1934)

Miss Mary Hughes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Hughes, of Randolph, Wis., and former home economic teacher in Humbird high school, was united in marriage to Mr. Frank F. Eppich, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Eppich, 1171 W. 37th Drive, Los Angles, Calif., on Saturday evening, June 23rd, at 7:00 o’clock. Dr. Wm. E. Roberts of the West Adams Presbyterian Church officiated.

The bride wore a gown of ashes of roses with hat and accessories to harmonize, with a corsage of white gardenias and pink rose buds. After the wedding, a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents for immediate relatives and friends.

The bride is a graduate of Randolph High School and of Stevens Point State Teachers College. She is well known to the young people of the community, having taught in the high school a few years ago. The groom was a former Humbird resident, and has many friends here, who extend congratulations and best wishes upon the happy culmination of a romance which found its inception in our village, before the groom removed to Los Angles four years ago. The happy bride has taught in the high schools at Verona and Chetek since leaving Humbird.

The young couple enjoyed a honeymoon trip to northern California, and are now at home at 8168 Mt. View, South Gate, Calif. Mr. Eppich is employed with the Fibreboard Products Co., of Los Angeles.
