Patricia Friedenfels

Patricia Friedenfels, 66, Abbotsford, died early Wednesday, March 21st 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield while under palliative care.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 22nd, 2007, at Maurina-Community funeral Home Abbotsford, Wis.

The funeral service will be held Friday, March 23rd, 2007 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford, Wis.

Patricia Friedenfels, 66, Abbotsford, died Wednesday, Mary 21st, 2007.

Visitation was from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22nd, 2007 at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford and from 10:00 Friday until time of services at the church. There was a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 23rd, 2007 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford, Wis. Burial was in Bateman Cemetery, Town of Lafayette, Chippewa County. Father Paul Gitter officiated. Pallbearers were John, Dan and Jared Friedenfels, Fred and Bryan Mennecke and Steve McIlquham.

Patricia was born Mary 16th 1940, in Chicago, IL, to Cecil and Elizabeth (Montgomery) Johnson.

She graduated from Owen High School in 1958. Patricia and Harry Friedenfels were married in August of 1959. Harry died in 1978.

Patricia and Harry moved to Virginia and in 1965, to Chippewa Falls.

She moved to Abbotsford in 1981 and worked for Sentry Foods until 1990. Patricia was employed at TP Printing in Abbotsford for the past 16 years and at the time of her death.

Patricia was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Barbara (Robert) Bradley of Oviedo, FL, John (Joan) Friedenfels, Menomonie, Christine (Frederick) Mennecke of Menomonie Falls, Rebecca (Alan) Matchett of Front Royal, VA and Daniel (Kim) Friedenfels of Abbotsford; 14 grandchildren, Bryan Erick Mennecke, 19, Corey Taylor Mennecke, 16, Steven Chase Matchett, 8, Spencer Garrett Matchett, 6, Jared John Friedenfels, 18, Ashely Marie Friedenfels, 15, Stefani, Patricia Friedenfels, 12, Jason Bradley, 14, Taylor Bradley, 11, Connor Bradley, 9, Jordyne A. Friedenfels, 11, Jaelyn A. Friedenfels, 9, Cody R. Friedenfels, 7, Jayda A. Friedenfels, 5; her brothers Bruce (Carolyn) Johnson of Owen, William (Evon) Johnson of Withee, Robert (Connie) Johnson of Alexandria, VA, George (Marcia) Johnson of Lannon, Guy (Barb) Johnson of Abbotsford and Paul (Julie) Johnson of Palatka, FL; her sister Virginia (David) Grove of Port Orange, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parent, her husband Harry, a daughter Karen in1973, one brother Christopher Johnson, one sister Priscilla Bruner and a grandson Derek William Mennecki in 1988.

Maurina-Community Funeral Home assisted the family.
