Dunn, Fannie Cassie (16 Sept. 1880 - 13 April 1936)

Fannie Cassie Rhead was born in the town of Garden Valley, on what is now known as the Louis Janke farm, on September 16th, 1880. She was united in marriage to Mr. Fred Dunn on December 5, 1897, at Humbird, Wisconsin, and to this union were born four children, namely: Harley, of DeSoto; Phoebe (Mrs. Jos. Billerbeck), of Garden Valley; and Lee and Hazel at home.

Mrs. Dunn passed away at her farm home in Garden Valley on Monday forenoon, April 13, 1936, being at the time of her death, 56 years, 6 months and 28 days of age. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and four children; one sister, Mrs. Olaf Amundson, of Sechlerville; four brothers, William Rhead, of Black River Falls, and Sidney Rhead, of Canton, S. Dak., seven grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Her father, mother, four sister and three brothers, preceded her in death many years ago.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dunn were held at her late home last Thursday afternoon, Rev. Fahlgren officiating, and burial was in Curtis Cemetery.
