Range, Robert E. #3 (24 MAR 1917 - 10 APR 2007)

Robert E. Range, 90, Granton, town of Lynn, died at Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville, on Tuesday, April 10, 2007. There will be no services held.

Robert E. Range was born on March 24, 1917, in Elgin, Ill., to John A. and Dora (nee Blanck) Range. He married Catherine Gladys Goebel in Illinois. They later divorced. He was a long-haul truck driver and was an accomplished pianist, playing on the radio and in clubs around Illinois. He later married Evelyn Viola Morton and moved to Wisconsin in the early 1960s. He drove cement truck in Marshfield for Mengels and later bought his own truck and hauled lime for many years. He cared for his mother until her death on May 23, 1989. His wife, Evelyn, died on Nov. 11, 1990. He resided at home until entering the nursing home in March 2007.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Barr, Janesville; three step-grandsons, Neill Braasch, Sharon, Gary Braasch, Carpentersville, Ill., and Claude Parker, Marshfield; and one step-granddaughter, Mary Joiner, Marshfield.
