Miessner, Agatha (Marriage - 26 Feb. 1949)

Saturday afternoon, February 26, Miss Agatha Miessner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph O. Miessner of Unity, and Lawrence Gudenschwarger, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. F. Gudenschwarger, of Loganville, were united in marriage in the Zion Lutheran Church at Colby by the Rev. O. H. Hoffman, with a background of music played by Miss Jean Coull.

Bridesmaids were Miss Mildred Miessner, Milwaukee, Mrs. Orlan Gudenschwarger, Edgerton, and Mrs. Clarence Miessner, Edgar. The bride’s niece, Kathleen Ann Berens of Marathon, was flower girl, and her brother, Dennis, carried the rings on a white velvet pillow.

Grooms attendants were Arlan Gudenschwarger, Wilfred Miessner and Robert Rothkamp.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was held in the church parlor. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

Following a short honeymoon, the newlyweds will make their home at 1030 N. Jefferson St. Milwaukee.
