Volz, Raymond L. (October 20, 1933 - April 25, 2007)

Raymond L. Volz, 73, of Glendale, AZ, passed away April 25, 2007 at his home.

He was born October 20, 1933 in the Town of Washburn, Clark County, Wisconsin. He was the beloved husband to Jan for 40 years, loving father to Beth (Bill) and Marc (Brenda) and "Papa" to Connor. Ray was the tenth of eleven children of Robert and Velmer Volz.

He served in the National Guard and later the regular Army from 1952 to1956. They resided in Waukesha County from 1968 -86. Ray and his family then moved to Arizona. His life revolved around his family, reading old westerns, gardening, old cars and tractors. "A farmer at heart" he will be missed for his stories, gentleness and kind heart.

He is survived by three brothers and three sisters, Marcella Adams, of San Pablo, CA; Florence Kopp, of Cambridge, WI; Gerald (Margaret), of City Point, WI; Wilbur (Kathleen), of Orland, CA; Willis (Jeannie), of Neillsville; and Iva Lou (Rodger) Northup, of Pickerel, WI. He is further survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held at the Church of Joy, Glendale, AZ on May 1, 2007.
