Colby, Beverly Ellen (Marriage - 27 Jan. 1951)

Miss Beverly Ellen Colby, daughter of Mrs. Lucy Colby, became the bride of Mr. Archie Kempke, son of Mrs. J. C. Kempke, of Pound, Wis., on January 27th in a ceremony performed by Rev. Henry Schielke at his home at Pound, at 10:30 A.M.

The bride wore a blue suit and had a corsage of carnations for her wedding.

Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Basil Vroman, sister and brother-in-law of the groom. Mrs. Vroman wore a cinnamon brown suit and also had a corsage of carnations.

A reception was held at the groom’s home for about 100 guests following the ceremony.

The bride attended Unity, Wis. High school and the groom attended school at Pound.

After a honeymoon in northen Wisconsin the couple will live at Pound, Wis. The groom is employed at the Norcar Mfg. Co. in Gillett, Wis.

Attending the wedding from Unity were Mrs. Lucy Colby and daughters Eleanora, Nancy and Virgene, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lynn and daughter, Diana, and Mrs. Bernard Kenyon. Also attending were Mrs. W. O. Colby, and daughter Joyce of Abbotsford and relatives from Milwaukee, Fond du Lac and Michigan.

The Register joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
