Denny, Mary (12 MAY 1857 - 31 JAN 1936)

Mrs. Mary Denny passed away at a Chippewa Falls hospital on Friday evening, Jan. 31, 1936, after a long illness. Her maiden name was Miss Mary Clark. She was born in Mauston, Juneau Co., May 12, 1857. She was married there to Mike Denny and they came to Eau Claire, where they resided for a short time, then moved to a farm near Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). Her husband preceded her in death in 1906. She moved to this city twenty-two years ago.

Surviving are one brother, Robert Clark of Gettysburg, S.D., several nieces, Mrs. Ed Carey of Hillsboro, Mrs. Peter Kronberg of Thorp, Mrs. Joseph Robinson, Mrs. Verdell Boardman and Mrs. Warren Baker of the Stanley Country; also several other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral was held at St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday, Rev. F.E. Wallace, officiating. Interment was made in Thorp.
