Kozlowski, George (4 APR 1858 - 2 MAY 1936)

George Kozlowski, aged 78 years and 28 days, died at the hospital at Stanley, Wis., on May 2nd, 1936, from a skull fracture sustained by a fall from steps on Friday.

Deceased was born in Lithuania, Europe, on April 4, 1858. He came to America on Oct. 2, 1901, locating on a farm north of the village, where he remained until his retirement several years ago when the family moved to the village of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). He was united in marriage to Agnes Gruski on Nov. 28th, 1901.

He leaves to mourn, his widow and four daughters, Mrs. John Kowalewski of Owen, Mrs. R.S. McDaniel of Chicago, Anna and Helen of Chicago.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church on Tuesday morning last, Rev. F.A. Kulig officiating, interment following in the nearby cemetery. Pallbearers were: Martin Soda, Jacob Niedzwiecki, Anton Stroinski, Flo. Anyzewski, Anton Papierniak, Walter Lozynski.
