Billman, Clara M. (Marriage - 12 Oct. 1930)

A quiet but interesting wedding took place at the Zion Ev. Lutheran parsonage in Colby last Sunday, Oct. 12th, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, when Miss Clara M. Billman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Billman, became the bride of Mr. Fred Garbish. Miss Emma Billman acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Alfred Garbish.

The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of white silk crepe, black satin trimmed with lace and rhinestones, and her bouquet consisted of pink and white roses and carnations. The bridesmaid wore a dress of pink silk flat crepe and her bouquet consisted of pink and white asters and carnations.

A wedding reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated in blue, pink and white for the occasion.

The newly married couple will be at home after October 15th in Colby, Wis., the groom being manager of the South Side Filling Station.

The out of town guests here for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Garbish, - Martin, Alfred, Gerhardt and Gertrude Garbish, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Garbish and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Bahl and son, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Billman and son, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Billman and son, all of Granton, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Billman and family, Plainfield, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Vajgrt and family, Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Billman and Mrs. F. C. Goecke and daughter, State Center, Iowa; Mrs. Larrison, Albion, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Humphreys and family, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Seralta, of Colby.
