Nolecheck, Tracy A. #2 (24 MAY 1966 - 18 MAY 2007)

Tracy A. Nolechek, 40, Thorp, died on Friday, May 18, 2007, at her home. Funeral services were held at 10"30 a.m., on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp. The Rev. Keith Apfelbeck officiated. Pallbearers were Chad Nolechek, Luke Meckley, Ross Meckley, Jake Dietrich, Zach Dietrich, Megan Nolechek, Ashley Dietrich, and Sarah Meckley. Honorary pallbearers were Alyce Nolechek, Lindsey Nolechek, and Stacey Lis. Burial will take place in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Tracey Ann Nolechek was born on May 24, 1966, in Stanley, to William J. Sr. and Dolores J. (nee Cook) Nolechek. She graduated from Thorp High School in 1984 and worked as a nursing assistant at Clark County Health Care Center, and then at the family owned business, Nolechek’s Meats, Inc., Thorp, for 20 years. In 2005, she earned her clinical nursing assistant diploma from Chippewa Valley Technical College and was presently employed at the Colonial Center, Colby. She was not only a hard worker but possessed compassion and sympathy for those she cared for. She enjoyed cooking, grilling, and experimenting with new recipes (she could have been a master chef). Swimming and biking were some of her favorite pastimes. Her two dogs, Nikki and Molly, brought much joy and love to her life. Most of all, she loved the Lord and gave herself to his care. She will be missed by the many who loved her.

Survivors include her mother, Dolores "Dee" Nolechek, Thorp, four sisters, Christine (Michael) Dietrich, Thorp, Jennifer (Tom) Meckley, Owen, Mary (Stas’Jr.) Lis, Thorp, and Nancy (Gerry) Gardner, Austin, Texas: two brothers, William Nolechek, Jr., Thorp, and Kelly (Laurie) Nolechek, Thorp; seven nieces, Stacey Lis, Lindsey Nolechek, Alyce Nolechek, Megan Nolechek, Sarah Meckley, Ashley Dietrich, and Kelly Gardner; nine nephews, Travis (Nicole) Dietrich, Luke (Christina) Meckley, Justin Gardner, Ross Meckley, Chad Nolechek, Jake Dietrich, Kyle Gardner, Zach Dietrich, and Caleb Gardner, two great-nephews, Dawson Dietrich and Jackson Beschta.

Preceding her in death were her father, William J. Nolechek Sr., and her sister-in-law, Barbara Nolechek.

Thorp Funeral Home, Thorp, assisted the family with arrangements.
