Nolechek, Tracy (24 May 1966 - 18 May 2007)

Tracy Nolechek, 40, Thorp, died on Friday, May 18th, 2007, at her home.

Funeral services were held May 22nd at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp, with Fr. Keith Apfelbeck presiding. Pallbearers were Chad and Megan Nolechek, Luke, Ross and Sarah Meckley, Jake, Zack and Ashley Dietrich. Burial will take place in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Tracy was born on May 24th, 1966, in Stanley, the daughter of William Sr. and Dolores (Cook) Nolechek. She graduated from Thorp High School in 1984 and worked as a nursing assistant at Clark County Health Care Center, then at the family owned business, Nolechek’s Meats, Inc. in Thorp for 20 years.

In 2005, she earned her clinical nursing assistant diploma form Chippewa Valley Technical College and was presently employed at the Colonial Center in Colby.

Tracy enjoyed cooking, grilling, swimming and biking.

She is survived by her mother, Dolores Nolechek, Thorp; four sisters, Christine (Michael) Dietrich, Thorp, Jennifer (Tom) Mechley, Owen, Mary (Stas’ Jr.) Lis, Thorp and Nancy (Gerry) Gardner, Austin, TX; two brothers, William Jr., and Kelly (Laurie) Nolechek, Thorp.

Tracy was preceded in death by her father, William Nolechek.

Thorp Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
