Rajewski, Violet (03 Apr 1919 - 23 May 2007)

Violet (Reynolds) Rajewski, 88, Colby, formerly of Loyal, died Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007, at the House of the Dove, Marshfield.

Funeral services were held May 26th at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester, Wis. Burial was in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Fathers Paul Gitter and Roman Kaiser presided. Pallbearers were Jerry, Zittler, Charles, John, Clark, Dennis, Phil and Mike Reynolds.

Violet was born April 3rd, 1919, in the Town of Holton, Dorchester, to Fred and Mary (Stelzel) Reynolds.

She and Peter Rajewski were married in 1963. Peter preceded her in death.

Violet had lived in Wisconsin Rapids and worked for the Secret Service on the Draft Board. She later worked for the Montgomery Wards Store. Violet moved to Loyal in 1878 and was the secretary and bookkeeper for St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She moved to the Angelus Retirement Center in Colby in 2000.

She enjoyed playing cards, reading and needle work and was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Violet is survived by sisters Gladys Zettler, Loyal, Mary Ann (Joseph) Meyer, Medford and Grace Wetterau, Medford; brothers James (Leora) Reynolds, Dorchester, Tom (Elaine) Reynolds, Dorchester and Ted (Leurelle) Reynolds, Wausau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Frederick, Alvin and Jerome.

Maurina-Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
