Hanson, La Vern (18 AUG 1921 - 8 DEC 1935)

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Christ Lutheran Church at Abbotsford, Wis. for La Vern Hanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Hanson of the town of Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.), who passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 1935, at 3:30 in the afternoon. La Vern had been suffering from progressive paralysis for the past eight years and had been seriously ill for the past two weeks. Services were conducted at the home at 1 o’clock and from the Abbotsford church at 2, with the Rev. J. Brandt officiating. Burial was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery with Elroy Nauman, John Bremer Jr., Eugene Hernan, Clive Lietzow, Leonard Untiedt, and Junior Walters acting as pallbearers.

La Vern Ole Hanson was born in the town of Mayville Aug. 18, 1921 and was fourteen years, three months and twenty days old at time of death. Having suffered from illness since a youth, La Vern spent most of his life in the home, yet he gained a wide circle of friends and acquaintances who helped him to pass away the more tedious hours of his enforced leisure.

Besides his parents, La Vern leaves one sister, Lorraine, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G.R. Broeske, and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his loss. His many friends join us in offering deepest sympathy to his family in their hour of sorrow.

Included among out of town relatives attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Randall of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Munson of Withee, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Machlett of Curtiss, John Tuttle of Tomahawk, and Misses Anna Hanson and Virginia Johnson of Wausau, Wisconsin.
